Help Us Soar
This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved. This is an easy and efficient way of contributing to the great work we do at Fight Against Breed Racism.
Here are ways to volunteer: Driving Volunteers- Transport dogs to/from fosters to destinations.- Transport dogs from Site to Fosters/Adopters.- Bring dog food/supplies to fosters.(The dog food/items are supplied by the Rescue.)
Basic OverviewSometimes we have dogs that don't work in certain enviroments and they need transport to be removed from that environment to get to a better suited home or on site to us. Another reason we would utilize driving volunteers would be with bringing our fosters supplies.
Caregiving Volunteers- Assist with dog walking.-Can take dogs for off-site Hikes. They enjoy a break just as much as we do!- Assist with general up keeping and necessities (feeding/watering).
Basic OverviewA Caregiving volunteer position is dependent on individual comfortability and is very hands on. You will need endurance and should be able to walk for a longer period of time. Caregivers are vital for our dogs on site for many reasons. We want our dogs to be as comfortable and as happy as any dog could be!
Event Volunteers (if needed)- Partake in the setting up of fundraising events.- Take on assigned roles (for example: Ticket Sale, Beverage Sale, or dog walker)- Assist with cleaning after events are complete.
OverviewIn the event F.A.B.R. has a fundraising event, Volunteers would perform important tasks. Each event would have event spefic specifications.

HELP FOSTER A DOG!
Help save a dog
Foster - Open your home up to a dog in need of placement. - Fight Against Breed Racism supplies the food and veterinary care.- Provide love, fresh food, water, exercise, and washroom accessibility.- Depending on comfort and skill level can help with doggy manners. This is not required.
Overview- Fosters play a vital role in the rescue community. Many dogs would not have had the opportunities they do if a foster had not stepped in.
- Longterm Fosters will take dogs for longer periods of time until they can be successfully prepared for adoption and adopted.
- Emergency Fosters will take dogs for short periods of time in order to get dogs to safety while we find the dog secure placement.
- Behavioural Specific Fosters are fosters with experience in training and behaviours. They will take dogs who have behavioral issues and work with these issues whether it be barrier aggression, Anxiety, etc.
