Canine Behavior Modification
What is behavior modification?
Behavior modification is a humane approach for changing the undesirable behaviors that your dog exhibits. Behavior modification uses counter conditioning and desensitization approaches, a variety of training skills as well as implementing management and safety protocols. Behavior modification can address a broad range of issues. After our evaluation/assessment session, we will learn your dog’s issues and why they might do the things that they do, plans and protocols are created to help manage and modify the behavior(s) of concern. Behavior Modification programs are designed to meet the specific needs of each dog and household. Services typically take place in your home, however services can also be provided at other locations mutually agreed upon. (Online Virtual Behavior Sessions are also available).
How It works:
Step 1: Initial Consultation
90 Minutes – Everyone starts here. During the consultation we will learn about your dog’s behavior, cover your goals in detail, create a temporary plan until Jen comes to your home to conduct an evaluation/Assessment and creates a customized Management plan.

We will go step by step through the entire management plan, ensuring you understand the why and the how to be able to successfully understand the management plan.
We believe that educating and providing the knowledge needed to better understand your dog and how to start rebuilding the relationship and the bond of trust.
Step 4: 4 Weekly Check Ins via email/text
Weekly for the first 4 weeks of implementing the behavior modification management plan, we will do check ins with you. This is to help answer any questions, concerns or thoughts you may have. This is also a time for us to touch base on improvements and step backs.

Consultations
Obedience & Manners and Puppy Training: All new clients start with an initial consultation which is 90 minutes. We will go through some basic information, your goals, then answer your questions and get right to work.

Behavior Modification:
All new clients start with a Comprehensive Behavior Consultation where we take a history on your dog, determine what is causing the behaviors, and show you how to start changing those behaviors. The consultation is 2 hours. (This is for aggression, reactivity, fear, anxiety etc.) Online Video Consultations are also available for behavior modification.
Evaluations/Assessments
An hour to allow sufficient time to assess your dog and evaluate how your reacts and behaves. Observing your dog's body language and reactions. This helps us better understanding your dog's reactivity or aggression triggers.
Customized Management Plans
This is detailed session where we go through the management planned suggested for your dog. And how to start helping your dog with their behavioral or aggressive issues.
We want to ensure we explain everything, so you can understand the purpose of the plan and the end goal we are working on accomplishing. Remember, your dog needs you to be fully committed to this and be willing to work on repairing the bond and trust between you and your canine companion.
