Meet The Dogs
DIAMOND
Available for Foster To Adopt, Foster or Adoption
Diamond has been with us 2 years, and in those years only 1 application that was not a
match has come in. This girl is a firecracker and super high energy, but she's got the
sweetest side. She makes us laugh daily and we wouldn't change a thing about her!
Diamond's adoption has been donated by an amazing sponsor. All we want is to find her a
loving family and home.
Name: Diamond
Breed: American Bulldog X
Weight: 47.50 lbs
Gender: Spayed/Female
Age: 4 years old
Energy Level: Medium to High
Medical: UTD
Good with dogs: Selective. Social outside but don't think indoors she'd do good in a home
with another dog. Unless someone was experiencing and took the time it takes to work with
her. She does love to play with her rescue friends.
Good with cats: No has a high prey drive for all small animals
Good with kids: No young children due to her energy.
Good with strangers: yes gets overly excited
Guarding issues: None that have been seen
Behavioural issues: can have separation anxiety in new environments. And will be
destructive if left alone too long.
House trained: Yes
Crate trained: Yes
Leash skills: still a working progress, but has come a long way since she first came to us.
Pulls a lot and will try to go after small animals if she sees them. Will need someone that
can control/handle her. Walks way better with a martingale.
Okay with manipulations: Yes, always willing to please.
Notes: Diamond is a very sweet, affectionate girl who is eager to please. She has shown to
be food motivated which is a bonus for training. Diamond gets very overstimulated and
excited fast. She will jump up and grab at you or the leash but she listens if you are firm with
her. Diamond is your perfect companion if your looking for a dog who can keep up with an
active lifestyle!

COOKIE CRUNCH
Available for Foster to adopt or adoption in mid April.
Available for Adoption!
Cookie was pulled from a shelter in mid March, where she found her self at risk due to overcrowding.
With her being a black dog and high energy/dog reactive, she didn’t have a fighting chance where she
was. We are so grateful a wonderful woman came forward to foster her, and offered to take her into her
board and train facility, to work on her manners and to get her prepared for being a family dog! Cookie
has shown how resilient she is, and is proving every single day that she is so deserving of this second
chance!
Name: Cookie Crunch
Location of dog: Minden, Ontario
Breed: American Bulldog mix
Weight: 60lbs
Gender: Female
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Age: 2 years
Energy Level: Medium to High
Medical (shots etc): UTD on bordatella, DA2PP, Rabies and tic and flea medication
Microchipped: Yes
Good with dogs: Selective, would do well with a larger balanced dog
Good with cats: No, prey drive is far too high
Good with kids: Older kids (14+ recommended), just due to size and lack of manners
Good with strangers: Yes, loves everyone!
Guarding Issues: None noted
House Trained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Destructive: She is very puppy like and will chew on things when bored
Leash skills: Good, working on better! She was a huge puller but has come along already, and is working
on her “loose leash” manners
Okay with manipulations: Yes
Known commands: Sit, Down, Focus, Place and to walk on a loose leash – she is currently working on
stay, come and manners when going in and out of doorways
Behaviour Issues:. She would do best as an only pet or with a larger balanced dog, that can show Cookie
how to be the best dog she can be. She can be reactive towards other dogs, at fences and on leash. But
since being with her foster, she has seen very minimal of this behavior; as long as her mental and
physical needs are met she is very easily redirected. She is highly food motivated which certainly aids in
the training
Medical issues: None
Other Observations:
From Cookies Foster: This loveable firecracker is the life of the party, no matter what time of the day she
will keep her humans and even herself entertained. Shes a smart cookie who knows sit, down, focus,
place and to walk on a loose leash. Things she’s currently working on are stay, come and manners when
going in and out of doorways. Cookie would do best with someone who can keep her on a consistent
routine and can continue working on her training. She is crate trained and does love to go in her crate,
she is quiet and content staying in it during the day and at night with a frozen bone or nylabone to chew
on. I wouldn’t recommend she have unattended free range just quite yet, rules and boundaries will be
essential to cookie thriving in a home setting. A typical day for cookie at board and train is out early am
in the yard for bathroom break, breakfast and rest, then she’s walked for about 30min and we come in
for 10min of training exercises. She goes down in her crate with a stuffed frozen kong or bone till mid
afternoon, and then we usually play some ball in the yard and practice her come and drop it. Then she’s
back in her crate till before dinner time. At around 8pm she’s out again for a bathroom break, then she
gets to have her nightly party! She will choose a toy, and you can engage with her or just sit back, laugh
and watch the party happen! She will play her hearts content out once cookie is tried we have a
snuggle sesh, she loves to give lots of face kisses before she’s off to bed!
Previously from Shelter: Cookie Crunch radiates a contagious joy that brightens even the gloomiest of
days. She was picked up as a stray and never claimed, and now is needed out of the stressful shelter
environment. For reasons known only to her, she is not particularly fond of other dogs. While she may
not be the life of the dog park party, she compensates with an unparalleled loyalty to her human pack.
She absolutely melts into you when you show her the slightest bit of attention, and will lean on you with
her full body weight while covering you in kisses to show you just how much she appreciates it!

males as she does not like dominant dogs

she should be supervised when kids have food
Good with strangers: Yes, she loves people, and she is so excited to see everyone!
Guarding Issues: Sometimes with food/treats and favorite toys.
House Trained: Yes
Crate-Trained: No
Destructive: Only with her toys, she chews them apart rather quickly. The only balls that last are ChuckIt

down

HANK
Available for Foster To Adopt, Foster and Adoption
Hank has been with us for a while. Poor boy has been here since Oct 2021. He loves to play. He
loves attention. He loves treats (who doesn't?).
Hank is a really sweet boy. He is getting really stressed living the kennel life, though. This boy needs
a home, with a yard and a family to call his own. He has not had many inquiries, he does not seem
to be a fan-favorite for reasons we don’t understand, and the kennel life is not meant for him - or
really any dog for that matter. Hank is a young loving boy who would be able to grow more in a
forever home, or even a foster, to keep him free of stress, to allow him to unleash his crazy, puppy-
like self. For a young guy, he has great recall and has been open to welcoming female dogs to play
with him. MUST be dog experience, not for a first-time dog owner
Name: Hank
Breed: boxer mix
Weight: 60lbs
Gender: Male
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Age: 4.5 years old
Medical(shots): Up to date
Good with dogs: VERY selective, must be ONLY pet
Good with cats: No
Good with strangers: yes with proper introductions
Guarding issues: yes with food with other dogs but good with people
House trained: yes
Crate trained : yes
Destructive: not at all
Leash skills: Good! Due to his trachea he must be walked on a harness only!
Okay with manipulations: yes
Known commands: sit, lay, paw working on stay and leave it
Behaviour issues: guards his food from other dogs but will let me take it
Medical issues: damaged trachea
Other observations: Hank is very people happy and loves to meet dog friends with the
proper introductions. Loves to run so needs space and proper excerise. Good off leash
once bonded and can have with excellent recall when properly trained. Loves car rides. He
is snuggly, loves to be in your lap. Loves his toys and will carry them on walks or when he
goes outside.
Not for a first time dog owner. Will need someone with patience and time to continue
working with him. He has been in a kennel for almost 3 years. So please understand he will
need someone willing to help him decompress from the kennel environment.
Once he's comfortable with you and knows you, he's really a sweet boy with a big heart.
Hence why we call him our goofball! Hank is all about cuddling and playtime!

And we live in the country. But will follow you everywhere.
Okay with manipulations: oh ya loves treats!
Known commands: learning sit
Behavior Issues: none
Medical issues: none
Other Observations:
Sully is just the cutest little man! He's so cuddly, playful and just so sweet. He's very well behaved, only
gets into trouble when his buddy Freddy leads him into it lol.
Sully is so dog friendly that we will only adopt out to a home with other dog or dogs. He needs a family
who is experienced with the breed and is knowledgeable on bully breeds. This is A MUST!
Sully would do best with people who are equipped to keep him socialized and will put the training
needed into him as he grows. Anyone would be lucky to have Sully part of their home, he is such a cute
silly guy!

HANS
MUST CONTACT IF INTERESTED**
*Experienced owner required*
*1-2 person home, ONLY ANIMAL*
Adoption Fee: $100
Location: Simcoe, Ontario
Name: Hans
Breed: Rottweiler
Weight: approx. 100lbs
Gender: Male
Spayed/Neutered: Yes Neutered
Age: 5 years old
Medical (shots etc): UTD
Good with dogs: No
Good with cats: No
Good with kids: No
Good with strangers: No
Guarding Issues: yes, has resource guarding with toys, bones, food and beds. Can be managed no
problem.
House Trained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Destructive: No
Leash skills: Great!
Okay with manipulations: Yes
Known commands: Sit, stay, no, drop it, down, paw
Behaviour Issues: Hans is a great dog once he knows and trust you. He has stranger danger. Therefore,
he needs to meet someone several times before he is not reactive to them.
Other Observations: Once Hans trust you, he's a big goofy guy. Who loves to play, chase and snow is his
favorite thing to role in and eat. Hans cannot go to a hectic household or with many people in the home.
He would be best suited for an older couple who's very experienced with the breed and his behavior
issues. Not for a novice owner.
Hans will bond with his people and will be protective. He is great on a leash, loves being outside. He
doesn't really bother with dogs outside his kennel, but is reactive to dogs in his kennel.
His resource guarding is quite bad and he cannot have toys, bones or beds and blankets. We do give him
raw bones at dinner time in his crate so by morning it's all gone and his aggression isn't there. Food
aggression is bad as well. He gets fed in his crate, will sit and give paw before we feed him. Once the
bowl is down, if anyone is near him, he will growl. Best to leave him eat in his crate.
Being Rottweiler means he is strong, and smart. I talk to him often and he enjoys conversations while on
walks on getting some cuddle time. Hans will be an amazing dog with the right people. He has tons if
love to give and loves his people. For a dog who is 3, he still has tons of play energy to interact with his
people.
If you're looking for a dog who will be loyal and protective, but also have a soft side, Hans is your man!
